October Notes: Benefits and Live Recordings
We post tonight, marking the one year anniversary of Rusty's tour van accident, which happened last year enroute from a gig in Fort Wayne to Chicago, when he broke two arms, and eventually endured a pair of operations. He made note of the anniversary from the stage at the Gulf Coast Benefit at the Hamilton County Fairground Auditorium show (pictured at right, taken from behind monitor soundboard) on Sunday afternoon (Oct 9).After an excellent 30-minute set (with included a new song written about coffee "but doesn't have a thing to do with coffee", Rusty announced; and included excellent versions of "Just For Awhile, Red, White and Blue and a set-closing version of Stevie WOnder's "Livin' For The City"), Rusty and roadie Chris hopped into the van to head two + hours home to play a Cancer benefit in Rusty's hometown of Madison, at the Electric Lady club Sunday night.

Final audio mixing is 99 percent completed for the DVD/Audio release of the live concert from Scottsburg, recorded in June. We will have a press release in the coming weeks with complete details, but RB fans will be able to purchase the concert in DVD form at some point in the near future, and the audio tracks will be released more quickly, as downloads from iTunes and the major music sites.
Stay tuned for release dates and details.
