While we wait for the next Rusty Bladen appearance, here is some rock and roll news to keep you up to date:
John Mellencamp will perform on a broadcast of A&E's "Live by Request on Nov. 11 from Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington.
Viewers will have the chance to request songs by phone or by visiting www.livebyrequest.com. The show will be air live from 9 to 11 p.m.
Tickets will not be available to the general public. Some tickets might be distributed through radio-station giveaways.

Aerosmith will release their first concert film, which makes its debut in theaters before surfacing on DVD. Titled "You Gotta Move," the flick was filmed during the group's tour behind its latest studio set, this year's "Honkin' on Bobo." In addition to concert footage, the film also includes scenes shot in the studio during the making of the album.
"You Gotta Move" is set to premiere on Nov. 23 at Regal Entertainment Group cinemas and the DVD hits stores the same day.

A long-lost briefcase full of notes and lyrics that were intended for the 1981 U2 album October has been returned to the band, 23 years after it was stolen at a Portland, OR concert. Bono made the announcement recently during an appearance before the World Affairs Council of Oregon, saying the returned notes were "an act of grace"
