benefit raises money; bladen takes to the stage
We will have more details soon, but already we know the Rusty Bladen Benefit Concert at Gallaghers II on November 14 can be labeled a success.
Seven hours of music, including a set by Bladen and his new band The Designated Drivers, plus money raised via the auction proved to be just what the doctor ordered for Rusty.
Thanks to Jimmy " Mad Dog" Matis, who emceed the auction, and the money collected at the door and through donations, more than $3,300 was raised to begin to offset part of the cost of getting Rusty back on the road with touring equipment.
Rusty joined his band for an upbeat set of six songs. We'll have a setlist report and photos coming soon.
Thanks to all who came and enjoyed the show, and if you would like to contribute to Bladen's fund, you can mail a check to the address below. The goal is to raise $10,000 by December 30.
